The composition of preaching or teaching a spiritual message, sermon, or Bible Study.  Stated, that it is the science and art of preparing and delivering a discourse based on Scripture (i.e. the art and science of preaching).  There are two basic forms of homiletics: evangelistic and pastoral. Homiletics comes from the Greek word, “homilia”, which signifies a mutual talk and conversation or a set discourse; and “homilos” – to assemble, put many pieces together.
